Romance and fairytales

I’ve been to the National Gallery many many times now and I´m always coming back. But it’s been a couple of years now since last time so I didn’t know they’ve started having an entrance fee. Luckily it’s free on Sundays.
And I still find new details to discover and new inspiration. If you didn’t know, this museum has quite a few very impressive pieces. Most fun here is Norwegian landscapes and culture I think, I.C. Dahl, Th. Fearnley, E. Munch, E. Werenskiold, H. Backer, Th. Kittelsen (they should have had much more of him). Today I noticed a painting I don’t think I’ve seen before, “Princess with a spindle” by the Swedish Hanna Pauli, painted in 1896. Beautiful.
